Greenville Cy Hall Memorial Museum Season Three is Beginning!
Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer plans and the anticipation of fun outdoors. We have that same sense of hope and optimism because Memorial Day Weekend marks the beginning of the Museum’s third Season.
We want to offer a special invitation for you to come join us Friday, May 25th at 5 p.m. for the celebration of our Spring Opening. You can visit with friends and get a preview and tour of this year’s exhibit that highlights Indian Valley Schools, as far back as we could find information, to today. It’s an exhibit we are proud of and the timing of it couldn’t be more important as Greenville Junior Senior High School faces the challenges for its future.
It’s also something that points out the importance of having a Museum where we establish and preserve collections and artifacts that are historical and represent our heritage. We encourage people who come to view our displays, to offer pieces and pictures of their own experiences while attending Indian Valley schools that can be kept for future generations to see.
Please do make note of our many activities, including special “Night at the Museum” events, fund raisers and especially the August 18th “Teachers Remembering Indian Valley Schools” from 1 to 2 p.m. If you are up for the Reunion, plan to spend the day in Greenville.
Of course all that we do is made possible only if we receive donations and increase the membership of the Greenville Cy Hall Memorial Museum. We would appreciate your thoughtful consideration of becoming a member. Of course, all donations are tax deductible.
You can download the complete Greenville Cy Hall Memorial Museum 2012 Events Schedule here, in PDF format. Check the Feather River Country Events Calendar for these and other events throughout Plumas County too.
We hope to see you soon!
